International Power of Tolerance
On the Occasion of the Opening of Shanghai World Expo
The one-hundred-year history World Exposition finally comes to China.
What the Exposition would bring to China? Or what the China can present and broadcast to world?
I have been reading the book of “The Wisdom of Tolerance―Dialogues between Master Xingyun and Liu Changle” recently, which reminds me the importance of tolerance.
This book said, tolerance is something about an attitude, self-restraint, a promise, and a treasure. Once you have the capacity for magnanimity, the dignified appearance would come along…
This theory also works for a nation or even the world. China organized Olympic Game and World Exposition in such short time, which fully illustrated China’s power and developing potential.
Bidding and organizing the World Expo has presented a huge tolerance power of China. Since China opened her gate thirty years ago to introduce the reform and opening up policy, she has the capacity to tolerate different colors and diversified cultures of the whole world.
China eventually stands on the head of the world’s development trend to embrace the promising future of the world, finally opens his arms to the fullest extend to communicate and collide with different ideology, spirit, belief, and all the beauty of the living world…
It is proud and happy to be a Chinese in nowadays. No matter we are poor or wealth, honorable or lowly, we should all feel happy and proud for the progress and rejuvenation that our country achieved.
How many people can become billionaires? How many people can be dignitaries of a country or a district? We should make efforts for the world’s progress and prosperity with a common heart. In the meanwhile, we should make endeavor and strive in honest ways. Without the strive that paid by a tolerated heart, we would loss our foothold.
China leaders know perfectly about this, so they introduced the reform and opening up with a tolerated heart, and greeted the challenges which come from every aspect of the diversify world. China will eventually grow to a powerful nation to influence and lead forward the wheel of world history.
Today when we open the world’s scroll, we can still see the hunger, disaster, war, and violence. Does China can pass the test of World Exposition? Does China can broadcast the spirit of harmonious to 6 billion world people with her own image and voice jointly with the all nations of five continents.
China has already on the way. In the “Economic Capital”, like Shanghai, China has begun its confluence with world as long as a half year beyond distance. The tolerance of China is also the tolerance of world, every country or camp cannot despise the power. The power of China is an important part of world power.
Since China can embrace the whole world, the world should also open his arms to welcome China. A power of tolerance could make China and World to be a better place.
