Where there is consumption, there is need and where there is communication, there is a hotel.
Compared with the European hotel industry that has a history of more than one hundred years, the Chinese industry, through only three decades, has developed from a few joint ventures into numerous hotels here and there, which again gave us an insight of China speed. The prosperous Chinese hospitality market is a result of a bubble economy or the requirement of a market? That is a question too broad for us to discuss now. However, there is no doubt that when a certain number of hotels come into existence, the competition will get  intenser and the market would be segmented. Besides commercial hotels and resorts grouped by the function, we now have more and more characteristic theme hotels and hotels are no longer a mere accommodation provider.
With the development of the society, the upper class transfer their arena from royal palace and residence to now the luxurious hotels, a place where daily communication takes place and that is becoming more and more popular. Furthermore, with the improvement of living standards, people tend to have higher spiritual pursuits, such as better cultural and artistic atmosphere, more natural environment and inheritance from the past, which all indicates our thirst for civilization.
And that is why sorts of theme hotels came into being, and each has got their own styles. Then a question occurs: how could various elements be embedded into a hotel and every single detail of the hotel? With Chinese theme hotels still in their babyhood, that question needs to be discussed in the following long period. But it is our hope that with more and more hotels and an almost saturated market, we could have no more identical hotels, instead we would have more stylish hotels with more cultural content and we would enjoy more differentiated and distinctive service. Even if there are so many hotels out there in the market, each single hotel can still be a distinctive one.
We hope that in the near future, the hospitality industry will develop into a place where numerous distinctive varieties of hotels coexist, prosper and offer quality service.
