In China, people are immersed in the happiness of New Year again, the spring festival…
My original plan was that I was invited to celebrate the Spring Festival abroad, while, at last, I chose to get together with my family on a small island.
“New Year embraces celebrations, joyous festival welcomes long life”. Every time I am walking and thinking deeply in the green garden or on the beach, I will lose myself in the festival atmosphere, and be touched by many things. Confronting the situation of China, I feel pleased, but stressed as well.
Nowadays, “China Threat Theory” or “Central Empire Theory” can still be heard everywhere. Extremists from some countries still expect to see Chinese people retrogress one-hundred years and make a desperate life. Of course, 1.3 billion Chinese people cannot agree with it.
During this two-year, one of my good friends always advises that I should always go abroad frequently. It seems to him that I might not know the trend of global development, or the differences between oriental culture and western culture, because of my staying at home. Or my minds are not international and cannot do things well enough to attract the westerners’ attentions. On the contrary, I find that many founders of global grand hotel groups and world-class bosses of some European or American organizations will not come to China frequently at their leisure. In fact, now, Chinese people can go to the foreign countries as easily as go to find their neighbors. But it focuses on whether it is necessary: you go there at your own expense or you are invited there to have a visit. In the approaching days, I will plan to travel to some places all over the world, and absorb some nice culture or spirit. Chairman Mao has gone to only one country in his life, that is Soviet Union, however this did not affect the spread and influences of Maoism, and the collectivity’s fearless to developed countries. The USA built diplomatic relationship with China in 1972, and published The Shanghai Communique together. Although Mrs. Thatcher was in power in the UK, Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997. This is so-called “A weak country has not diplomacy.” One country or one group must make the choices to be strong when on the process of survival and development.
Dating back to 1980s or 1990s, there were the Communist International and the League of Nations, Chinese people chose to rely on themselves. New PRC is founded after persistent hard-work. In the history, China, Soviet Union and other countries prepared to establish another “United Nations”, which did not include the UK or the USA. At the beginning of 21st century, China’s prosperous can never be stemmed. The development of every field will gain more attractions. With full-scaled deep reform and open, China will lead the row of global development. The development structure with China as the center will be formed after years.
I got the news that China central government is caring about building first-class Chinese hotel brands when I had an informal discussion with senior managers from Jin Jiang Hotels recently. In addition, the best hotel in the world will become the outstanding symbol of China in the future.
What will WHA (World Hotel Association, founded in China with the support of Chinese government and an organization of United Nations) do in the coming years? After making clear of what we’re thinking of, we will not only root in China, flare up the world, and create a communicative platform of “culture, media, and information”, but also build some projects and products. In the coming years, under the premise of “culture-support, media-drive”, we will integrate the advantaged sources to make one good business operating mode. We will receive a great success on economic development, give more helps to members of WHA, and make contributions to prosperous development of China and the world hotel industry.
China is a country of goodness. We can witness hostile from some countries, but China always returns good for evil. Global flourishing development is the hope of us, and the purpose of WHA’s foundation. Grounded in China, we love China and the world.
